Receiving the Bloodmark is both an honour and an oath. It is a promise to serve the people, which burns and scars the skin if the recipient dishonours their promise. When in dire straits, the Bloodmark flares, allowing a Bloodbound to fight on longer than any normal mortal.
Once per long rest, you may suffer one level of exhaustion as a reaction when reduced to 0HP to stay conscious and take actions for one more round. You still make a death saving throw at the end of this conscious round unless you are healed above 0HP.
