Prerequisite: You must be blind to gain this feat.
You're blind, whether from natural causes or from an injury. You cannot see, read, or discern light or images. Additionally, you gain the following buffs and debuffs:
- You gain blindsight up to 20 feet and tremorsense up to 5 feet, with concentration. You lose blindsight and gain the effects of the blinded condition if you lose the ability to hear, or if you lose concentration by concentrating on something else such as a spell or taking damage. Regaining concentration for blindsense and tremorsense takes 10 seconds.
- When subject to a suitably loud and stunning sound, such as an explosion, you lose blindsight and gain the effects of the blinded condition until 10 seconds after the sound subsides.
- You automatically fail any Investigation or Perception check that requires sight only, and have disadvantage on any check that requires some sight.
- Melee attacks made against you gain +4 to attack rolls, and you have disadvantage on all ranged attack rolls and -2 to all melee attack rolls.
- You cannot use spell scrolls or spellbooks unless they are written in a tactile alphabet (i.e. Braille).
- You have advantage on Insight checks against deception involving visual tricks.
- You learn one tactile alphabet of your choice (if your setting has one).
- You gain advantage on any roll that relies on hearing and only hearing.
- You can sense invisible creatures as if they were visible.
- Your speed is reduced by 5 feet.
