You call upon the contract you have made with your entity and due to your the nature of the strong connection you have, they are able to provide you with aid.
Once a day, as an action you can beseech your entity to lend you the power to do only one of the following effects.
1) Your entity provides you with the power to cast a spell that you do not have prepared that is within the capabilities of your magical ability. (Spell must be at or below your current pact slot level and on the warlock spell list). In exchange for this power, the character must inflict 1d8 worth of "Fate" (true) damage to themselves for every level of the spell they are attempting to cast. This effect can be used once a day.
2) Your entity pushes the very limits of the deal and your soul's capabilities, granting you access to a spell that usually would be far beyond your ability as a spell caster (Spell must higher than your current pact slot level and on the warlock spell list). In exchange for this power, your character takes 1d8 Fate damage per level as well as an additional d8 per spell level that the spell exceeds your pact slot capabilities. Your soul also fractures a tiny bit under the stress, causing you to start with one failed death saving throw whenever you are knocked unconscious for the next 3 days. You can only use this effect once every fourteen days.
