If you do not already know it, you learn the cantrip Minor Illusion.
You are able to use Minor Illusion to fool others into believing you are casting a more powerful spell, either to bluff or to draw out counter attacks/counter spells from enemies.
As an Action, you use Minor Illusion to make it appear that you are casting a different spell. During this you use the same requirements for the pretend spell as if you were really casting it (it does not actually use up material components). The spell you are "casting" must be a spell that you are capable of casting normally; you do not need to have a spell slot normally needed for the "spell" since you are not actually casting it. Anyone else who can see you while casting can roll their Perception checked against your Performance or Deception (caster's choice), success means they are able to see through the fake casting. Having spells (like Detect Magic) or other abilities (like Truesight) will allow someone to automatically see through the deception. Failing this check means they will believe you are casting the "spell".
If left uninterrupted, at the end of casting the false spell the effect vanishes, causing a small distortion of magical energy. Should an enemy use Counterspell it automatically succeeds since you are using a cantrip; the enemy will believe they successfully countered your "spell".
