Prerequisite: Dexterity 14 or higher and proficiency in at least one martial melee weapon that deals slashing/piercing damage
You are skilled in the art of fencing and can use a sword with one hand behind your back, granting you the following benefits:
- Whenever you are wielding a martial melee weapon that deals slashing/piercing damage in one hand that you are proficient with and no other objects, your attack rolls gain a +1 bonus.
- Whenever you are wielding a martial melee weapon that deals slashing/piercing damage in one hand that you are proficient with and no other objects, you have the opportunity to parry attacks. Whenever a creature within 5 feet of you makes a melee weapon attack roll against you, you can use your reaction to add a -5 bonus to the attacker's roll, possibly allowing the attack to be parried. You can also try to parry melee weapon attacks directed at allies if an attacker within 5 feet of you makes a melee weapon attack roll against an ally who is also within 5 feet of you. If your Dexterity score is higher than your opponent's Dexterity score, the -5 bonus becomes -7. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus before finishing a short or long rest to use it again.
- Whenever you successfully parry an attack using the feature above, you can use a bonus action to do one of the following immediately after the parry:
- Make an attack roll against the creature you parried using the same weapon you parried with, but with a +5 bonus to the roll.
- Twist your opponent's arm around, making your opponent's weapon fly out of their hand 10 feet away from them in any direction.
- Cause your opponent to fumble and move 5 feet in any direction, possibly provoking an opportunity attack from another creature but not from you.
