Prerequisite: You must have proficiency with a martial weapon, and Strength or Dexterity of at least 13
You’ve developed the skills necessary to hold your own in fights against heavily armoured foes. You gain the following benefits:
- Your many fights against armoured opponents have given you the ability to recognise armour types. You can use a bonus action to make a Wisdom (Perception) check with DC 15 to determine your opponent's armour class, or his armour type. This only works for humanoids.
- You gain a superiority die (1d6)
- You have advantage on the first attack roll in your round against a creature you are attacking, if they wear heavy armour.
- You add your superiority die to any attack roll against a creature that is lightly armoured.
- On a critical hit, you find a joint in the enemy armour and deal additional damage determined by your superiority die, if your opponent wears medium or heavy armour.
