Whenever you fail a check(DM's discretion) or an attack roll, add 1 point of inspiration. If you roll a 1 on an ability check or attack, gain 3 points, as well as gain 3 whenever the DM rolls a critical hit on you. You can have a maximum of 5 points. You can choose to spend all 5 points at once to roll another d20 on an ability check, saving throw, or attack roll. You can do so after you rolled but before you know the result. You have to take the rerolled result..
