Your skill and prowess with Polearms and Reach Weapons has greatly improved, both allowing you to get greater damage and range from them, as well as use them more effectively.
You gain the following benefits:
You are now proficient with all polearms and reach weapons (including exotic and rare ones).
You can now choose to wield any Polearm or reach weapon one or two-handed (including Lances while not mounted).
You can now get the two-handed damage from wielding any Polearm one-handed at any time, and double the standard damage dice when wielding them two-handed.
The bludgeoning damage from the bonus action from Polearm Master increases to 1d6 when used One-Handed, and 2d4 when wielded Two-Handed.
When wielding a Polearm or other Reach weapon one-handed, your reach is now 15', increasing your threat range to a three square radius for attacks and attacks of opportunity.
While Wielding a Polearm or other Reach Weapon One-Handed, you may wield a shield in your other hand.
If you are proficient with Shields, and wielding one with a Glaive, Halberd, Lance, Longspear, Pike, or Spear, you add an additional +1 to you AC from knowing how to deflect attacks with both the shield and weapon.

Posted Nov 18, 2023This might be fun to play. So that has its benefits. This would be difficult to DM, because of lots of circumstantial changes to damage and mechanics, and seems a bit unbalanced. 15 foot reach and can use a shield, wow!
