You know that the key to being a good liar is to convince yourself of the lie too, this allows you to change personalities as easily as others change clothes - even easier than some, unwashed masses and all that. As you begin to believe in your own lies your aberrant powers latch on to the persona and fuel it. WIth DM permission you may convert a false identity into an Aberrant Persona. You gain one personality when you obtain this feat and another at levels 5, 9, 13, and 17*. You may adopt these personas, or switch back to your own, with a Bonus Action.

For each personality, the following applies while adopting it:
• Choose any one skill or tool. You may roll Deception in place of this skill when using it.
• Choose a background feature to associate with this persona. At the DM's discretion you may lose access to this feature in situations that your true nature is known.
• Choose a new name, new alignment, two new personality traits, and a new flaw for this persona. You may also choose ideals and bonds if you wish. These replace your existing values while this personality is activated and you are not considered to be lying about any of them. E.g. if your personality is LG you will identify as such to spells and you need make no deception rolls to act out your traits.
• Controlling the persona takes intense focus. While using a persona you have -5 to Passive Perception & Investigation and can only concentrate on illusion or transformation spells that directly support the illusion of your persona.

Optional Rule: There is potential for a persona to grow even more powerful as you adopt it more often, but you are not yet sure how that might manifest... (An option at the DMs discretion, perhaps they can use one of their extra personas gained to instead improve an existing one)

*You can track these personas in the Notes section of your character or by copying the "Aberrant Persona: Template" Homebrew feat and adding the information there to add to the character - these do not count against your number of Feats known.
