Arcane Crystal Image
Prerequisite: Ability to cast spells

Upon casting an arcane spell, magic coalesces as a fog, spinning to a singular point of crystalline form, and falling to the earth with the telltale hum of enchantment and contained power.

  • When you successfully cast a non-cantrip arcane spell of 1st level or higher, there is a 20% chance a crystal of solid magic will appear within 30 feet of you and drop to the ground. This arcane crystal is no larger than one cubic inch and has negligible weight. Each arcane crystal is worth 20 gp.
  • Whenever you cast an arcane spell that requires a material component, you may replace one such component with one crystal. The crystal is consumed when the spell is cast, and any spell cast in this manner retains this feat's ability.
  • While you possess at least one crystal, gain Advantage on Arcana checks.
  • If a non-spellcaster person or creature touches an arcane crystal, the crystal turns to fog and dissipates. Animals, insects, and other fauna or sentient flora do not trigger this effect.
