Counter Ki

Counter Ki - Your connection with your Ki allows you to feel magical forces around you and even alter them to absorb them. When you are the target of a directed spell, (not an area of effect spell nor natural abilities) you may, as a reaction, cancel that spell and pull that energy into yourself, giving you a temporary Ki point. This Ki point can go over your maximum Ki point reserve, but its power will fade after 1 minute if not spent. This ability only allows a maximum of one Ki point to be held at a time. To perform this action you must make a Wisdom ability check with a DC of 10 + the spell's level. On a success, the spell's effects against you are canceled before they happen and you gain a maximum of one Temporary Ki point. On a failure, the spell's effects trigger as intended by the spell caster. Regardless of a success or failure other creatures targeted by the spell remain unchanged as your Counter Ki can only protect yourself. If you are unaware of the spell, such as being caught by surprise, something cast from an invisible spell caster, or while blinded you make the ability check at disadvantage. Counter Ki cannot be used if you are incapacitated or unconscious.
