A path that breaks the Cycle of Life & Death, imbued with a source of greater Sacrifice (Thousand of soul sacrifice), transforms and fortifies your Soul against Death itself, using Necrolyte to sustain & empower it.
Undeath Meditation: Undying Souls do not sleep. Instead they lightly meditate, remaining conscious, for 4 hours. Once 4 hours of uninterrupted meditation is met, they gain the benefits of a long rest.
Spirit Walk: Undying Magus can detach its soul from its body, The material body you leave behind is unconscious and in a state of suspended animation; it doesn't need food or air and doesn't age. It can freely travel through any plane and can pass through portals there leading to any other plane. If you enter a new plane or return to the plane you were on when casting this ability, your body and possessions are transported along the greenish cord, allowing you to re-enter your body as you enter the new plane.
Any non-damage or other effects that apply to the Detached Soul have no effect on your physical body, nor do they persist when you return to it. Damage, however, is still transferable to the physical body as the Detach Soul has no hitpoints.
Has a casting time of 10 minute and the ability ends for you when you use your action to dismiss it. When the spell ends, the affected creature returns to its physical body, and it awakens.
While Detached, you can enter a creature’s mind, acting as a harmless messenger. You only appear for that creature and appear in any form you desire. You can converse and craft an illusion to your imagination. The affected creature will recall everything but cannot choose to end the effect prematurely. Within each creature’s mind, you can only stay for 1 hour per long rest.
Gift of Grafting Magus: Whenever you cast a spell, you heal hitpoints equal to the Spell Level + Double of your Proficiency Bonus. Cantrip does not benefit from this ability.
At the start of each long rest, you can become resistant to 1 damage type except Radiant Psychic or Force damage.
Undying Nature: You no longer require air, food, drink, or sleep.
You do not benefit from healing spells.
You are immune to instant death effects and Necrolyte Cantrips.
You are resistant to non-magical Bludgeoning, Slashing and Piercing damage.
Your creature type is changed to “Undying”, which other Undead Creatures perceive & align with you as an Undead creature. Most Divination effects cannot detect Undying creature types. (Undying is not an Undead creature type).
Path of Immortality: Whenever an Undying Soul dies or loses its body, your Soul will always retreat to the Nekapolis Realm, within the Death Sea Fog. It then takes 1d6 days to reform its body as you consume the Sea. If a Phylactery exists, you can instead retreat the soul there immediately and be reborn within 1d8 hours. Destruction of Phylactery does not destroy your soul, instead it will just retreat back to the Nekapolis Realm.
School of Necrolyte: You automatically learn and prepare all Necrolyte spells. They do not count against your total spell prepared, learnt or list.
