When you find a spell scroll or a spell book with a spell your class can cast or from the Wizard spell list, from 1st to 5th level, you can add it to your spells known, if it is of a spell level you know and if you can spare the time to decipher and learn it.
Copying that spell into your spells known involves reproducing the basic form of the spell, then deciphering the unique system of notation used by the mage who wrote it. You must practice the spell until you understand the sounds or gestures required, then learn it by heart.
For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp. The cost represents material components you expend as you experiment with the spell to master it. Once you have spent this time and money, you have the spell known to you, but it does not count against the number of spells known your class gets.
You can only add 2 spells known with this feat. If you learn a 3rd spell this way you must permanently replace the new spell known with one of the other spells known you learned this way. In order to add more spells known you have to take this feat again.
