You gain the following benefits:
When you take the Attack action and attack with a weapon with a blade on each side, you can use a bonus action to make a melee attack with the opposite end of the weapon. This attack uses the same ability modifier as the primary attack. The weapon's damage die and damage type are equivalent to the weapon that is attached. You must use this weapon with two hands.
Rules:
- If both of the connected weapons have the light property, you can hold the weapon with one hand.
- To use a weapon that is comprised of two weapons with the heavy property, you must have unnatural strength (21+).
Based on your level, you can use this ability with:
- Level 4: Simple Melee Weapons
- Level 5: Simple Melee Weapons, Martial Melee Weapons that do not have the heavy property
- Levels 6+: Simple Melee Weapons, All Martial Melee Weapons
Quick Draw Attack:
If the double-edged weapon is stowed and you take the attack action with this weapon, you can choose to make a Quick Draw Attack. When you choose to do so, make a Dexterity Saving Throw (the DC for this save is 10 minus a third of your Armour Class rounded up). On a failed save, you take piercing damage equal to the DC minus your saving throw roll (you have accidentally poked yourself with the top edge of the weapon), and attack as normal. On a successful one, your attack deals bonus damage equal to your Dexterity modifier, of the same damage type. If you rolled a 1 (critical failure), you do not succeed in drawing your weapon.
