Air headed caster

Due to your air headed nature, you can find it difficult to remember which spells you have prepared for the day. 

You are able to use a spell slot to cast a spell of the same level that you know but did not prepare for the day. (This can not be used to cast a lower level spell at a higher spell slot. ex: using a second level spell you could not cast cure wounds, because it is a first level spell, but could cast barkskin.)

This feature can only be used once per long rest.
