Prerequisite: Requires a Strength score of 16 or higher
You take advantage of every drop in any enemy's guard, and use that opening to trample what little defenses your target has left by following through with tremendous force gaining the following benefits:
- When you hit a creature with a melee attack you may use your reaction to Follow Through. When the ability is activated, you add additional damage to your strike equal to the amount that you exceeded the target's armor class, up to your strength modifier. (Ex: An attack roll of 17 against an AC of 15, and a Strength modifier of +3 would add +2 additional damage). This ability lasts for the user's turn it is activated.
- On a successful attack, you may choose to forgo the bonus damage to instead shove the creature (up to two categories larger) back 5 ft. This can stack with multiple attacks in a round.
- If there is a creature within 5 feet of your target, you may choose to use the shove action from the previous benefit to knock the target into that creature. That creature then takes the additional damage that would be dealt via the first benefit, based off the initial hit.
You may use this ability a number of times per short rest equal to your characters level.
