You may take this feat if you are not greater than level 4 and have a constitution of 9 or less. Also, you must have traveled through the wilderness on foot for 45 of the last 60 days OR have traveled on foot from one known point to another a thousand miles apart. without your breaks in travel totaling more than 15 days.
- Add 2 to your constitution
- Adjust all previous hit die rolls to reflect your new constitution
- Adjust all your other stats that your weak constitution had affected.

In other words, this feat is weaker than the existing rules.

Posted Apr 23, 2019Your health is calculated by (HD*level) + (Con Bonus * level) normally, so getting +2 to your CON automatically does what you described. Same thing with CON saves, they automatically add in your con bonus.
Like, this feat only makes sense if the DM has dictated that you can't take ASI's and can only take feats...and from what this grants it's really worse than taking basically any other feat. Otherwise this feat is the same as taking the ability score increase, but with restrictions that the ASI doesn't have.

Posted Feb 20, 2022The only possible reason to take this feat would be to increase your Con score to 22 (as the feat does not say that you can't increase your total over 20)... but you can only take it if you're levels 1-4 and have a Con below 10? Yeah, there is literally no reason to opt for this instead of an ability score improvement.

Posted Apr 20, 2024With some tweaks to the benefits, this could be interesting thematically.
Perhaps keeping the +2 CON, but with immunity to exhaustion from Forced Marches, or advantage on saving throws for exhaustion? Basically keep it as an ASI, but because you made a prerequisite to take this, you can add a little something extra as an reward.
OR take only a +1 CON, but with something a little more substantial?
