You can now see heat and its lack from nearly any distance, distinguishing different heat levels as gradients of grey, from black (extremely cold) through grey (mildly warm) to white (scorching hot). This ability can be activated by focusing your vision a number of times per day equal your proficiency bonus.

Absolute color blindness - seeing different heat levels as different colors removes your ability to see unrelated colour, which in turn causes you to be unable to read completely due to being unable to distinguish ink from paper. you also can't see through glass, and when it is raining or when in a heavily humid environment you're completely blind in the dark. you can't see underwater.
