You attempt to throw off your opponent's rhythm with a surprise hit in the face using your weapon hilt or haft, possibly creating a window of attack or escape.
Make an attack roll at disadvantage. On a successful hit, you deal 1d4 + either your Strength or Dexterity modifier in damage. The opponent must then make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be Stunned for the next round of combat as it tries to shake the stars out of its eyes. If this damage would have been sufficient to kill the target, they are instead knocked unconscious unless the attacking character states otherwise when damage is dealt.
