
Prerequisite: Proficiency with whips
You master fighting with whips or stringed weapons, gaining the following benefits:
- You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls when attacking with whips or stringed weapons.
- Once per round if you hit with an attack roll you can choose to disarm or knock your target prone instead of doing damage. The target must then save a strength saving throw of DC 8+your proficiency+your strength or dexterity modifier to resist. Doing this to a flying creature will cause it to lose 10ft of height; or
- On hitting a target, you may use your reaction to have the whip grapple the target. The target may then on the start of its turn attempt a strength or dexterity saving throw to break the grapple, DC 8+your proficiency+your strength or dexterity modifier on a failed attempt it must remain within 10ft of you. You cannot attack with the whip while using it to grapple a target. You may still move, but moving beyond 10ft of the target will require beating the target in a strength roll and reduce your speed by half.
