As a practitioner of Fish-Man martial arts, you have mastered manipulating the water of the oceans and inside the bodies of various beings. As a result, your skills in unarmed combat have improved drastically. Additionally, Fish-Man martial arts is more effective underwater; as such, your techniques will be more powerful, and so will you.
- Since you use shockwaves to manipulate water, any unarmed attacks you make, including Fish-Man Martial Arts techniques, gain an additional D4 of Thunder damage. When you reach 7th Level, it increases to a D6, and at 14th Level, it increases to 2D4.
- When you and your opponent are submerged in water, you have advantage on your unarmed attacks against them.
- When you take the Attack Action on your turn, you can make an unarmed strike as a Bonus Action.
- The DC for any attacks from this feat that require a Saving Throw is 8 + PB + your Strength or Dexterity modifier.
Choose one of the following techniques:
- Vagabond Drill: You gain the ability to hurl water from your hands in a powerful water shock wave that pierces through an opponent's body. You can replace an attack with this technique when you take the Attack Action. It deals piercing damage equal to your normal unarmed attacks and has a range of 10 ft. Alternatively, you can make it into a projectile with a range of 30 ft, which you must use your Dexterity to aim. When using this technique underwater, it has a range of 20 ft, and the projectile has a range of 60 ft. In both cases, this technique requires a water source to use.
- Shark Brick Fist: A powerful straight punch that transmits the force of the impact through the water in a person's body, enabling the strike to bypass a person's defenses. As a result, all of your unarmed strikes do Thunder damage. Additionally, as an Action on your turn, you can strike the space before you and “cast” Thunderwave without components. Underwater, your normal unarmed strikes are now in a 15 ft cone, and your Thunderwave becomes a 30 ft cone.
- Ocean Current Shoulder Throw: When you take the Attack Action on your turn, you can replace an Attack with the Ocean Current Shoulder Throw. You and your opponent must make contested Strength (Athletics) checks. You grapple and throw your opponent to the ground if you succeed. They take damage equal to an unarmed strike and are now prone. Underwater, the Ocean Current Shoulder Throw’s usage is twofold. Firstly, you can cause a stream with a 5 ft radius to rocket from the sea's surface to a point on land within 60 ft of you. Any creature within the stream’s radius takes bludgeoning damage equal to your Thunder damage die + your Strength or Dexterity modifier and must make a Dexterity Saving Throw or be pushed back 5 ft. Additionally, you can use this stream to move to the area that it has landed on with a Bonus Action. Secondly, you have learned to manipulate sea currents around you. As an Action, you can use the currents to your advantage. In a 30 ft radius around you, any movement penalties that may be applied to you or your allies while swimming are removed.
If you retake the Fish-Man Martial Arts feat, you can choose another technique.
