You have mastered combat with the whip, using it to greater effect to lash and snare your opponents. You gain the following benefits:

• When you hit a creature with an attack made from a whip you can use your bonus action to attempt to grapple the target is it is size large or smaller. While a creature is grappled in this way you can not make attacks with the whip unless you release the grapple. If a creature is grappled in this way you can as a bonus action attempt to knock them prone by forcing them to make a DEX or STR save DC 8+ str or dex + prof bonus.
• Alternatively you may try to pull a creature 5 ft towards you instead of grappling them.
