Warning: Somewhat Screwball but gives some interesting role-playing options.

You get plus one to either Intelligence or Wisdom.

Also you understand your existence and reality at its most fundamental level. You know that you are a PC, a Player Character in a game of Dungeons & Dragons. You understand that your decisions are those made by your player and that the way events happen are often the result of dice rolls. You know not only know your player's name, you know everything that your player knows. You know for instance that a longbow does 1d8 damage. You know how many Hit points you have and that they are Hit points. You know the rules as well as your player and might even chastise them for not knowing the rules better. You can make comments directed toward the other players or DM (use this one with caution, it could get annoying real quick). You know who is a PC and who is an NPC. You understand that using your players knowledge that you don't 'have' is Metagaming and that it defeats the very purpose of existence, to entertain the players and make the game more enjoyable.

If you try telling the other PCs and NPCs they'll either think you are joking, or insane or they just won't understand. Making comments about feeling railroaded by the DM or how another PCs player just isn't paying attention will just go over their heads.
