For years, you have served under and learned from an experienced teacher and/or mentor. You have benefited from long hours of training and/or assisting in various activities, tasks, and creations.

  • You gain a +1 to an ability score of your choice, to a maximum of 20.
  • You gain proficiency in any combination of two skills, simple weapons, or tools of your choice.
  • If you choose a skill in which you already have proficiency, you gain expertise with that skill instead, which means your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make with it. The skill you choose must be one that isn’t already benefiting from a feature, such as Expertise, that doubles your proficiency bonus.
