Inferniak is the god of mortality, not death or the dead, the god of life spans.
Inferniak begun his cult promising followers extended life spans. This was incredibly popular and soon his cult amassed legions upon legion of followers. This troubled the other gods, and they had no choice but but to seal him... (yes I ripped off cult of the lamb cry about it)
Inferniak passed down mortality magic which diverged into four techniques
Bone Manipulation
Blood Manipulation
Flesh Manipulation
Rage Harness
Ever since Inferniak's sealing there have been no users of the manipulation techniques, and I am the only welder of the Rage technique since the passing of _RageGuy138_
Go forth, and serve Inferniak, lest his techniques die.
How to get mortality magic:
If you are a participant in the cult, eventually your magic will become slightly stronger and the visual effects of your magic darker, congratulations, you have awakened mortality magic.
From there, find a sheep, goat, pig, any suitable sacrifice and do the following for each technique
Bone Manip- Drink the sacrifice's bone marrow
Blood Manip- Drink the sacrifice's blood
Flesh Manip- Eat the sacrifices heart
After a while, you will manifest the ability.Try not do multiple at the same time, your body might not be able to handle it
Who I say is in the cult is in the cult. Although I haven't been particularly devoted to Inferniak, he has no choice, because I am the only follower

Some lore about Rage70
RageGuy1 was a spirit medium turned cultist and tried to use mortality magic to fuel his spirit medium-y things and invented Rage Harness. Inferniak didn't care unless the RageGuys tried to overthrow him so he was fine with it. But then 70 did the unthinkable, he gained all three manipulation techniques at once. There was a history for it but as soon as John Freak used any magic, his arms would shrivel up and he was very useless, but 70 could use them perfectly well, even all three at the same time. Suddenly Rage Harness became one of the diverging techniques, and Inferniak's symbols now have four spikes instead of three. Rages 71-100 were all exceptional cultists but then 102-138 were disappointments, either died in battle very quickly or deserted the cult. (_RageGuy101_ is another story for another time)
