Long ago, or perhaps in the future, there was a planet of technology and humans. This was a distinctly non-magical planet, and its occupants threatened their planet with chemicals that would render it bare and dead. Then, as many native species neared extinction, their salvation came in a very unexpected way. A comet hurtling through space neared Erth, and a chunk of it broke off, growing closer and closer to the planet. As it passed through the atmosphere, chunks of it broke off to impact the ground on all corners of the globe. The main chunk flew towards the continent of Afriqua, finally impacting just offshore from the Seharra Desert. It carved a valley 20 miles long and 5 miles wide into the sand, finally coming to rest at the very end. Now, this comet was made up of rock with veins of adamantine running through it all. Thus, the dust that spread around the globe had tiny little metal particles in it which turned this distinctly non-magical planet into a magical one, transforming ordinary beasts into strange creatures. Millennia passed, and this history was forgotten as divine beings and sentient items became the norm. Empires rose and fell around the little mountains of adamantine, and creatures that had been imprisoned in the ice were freed. And so a new world, one where reality was stretched thin around the edges, was born.
In the Temple of Secret Stories you can share the stories of D&D campaigns long past or even ones you hope to have in the future.
You may post or comment on the stories of your fellow adventurers, share mystical stories from the beginning of time, or just read.
Also, this thread will be policed by grammar fanatics (aka me). Just a friendly warning.

Semicolons are the most addictive punctuation mark there is; and also one of the most helpful.
