Welcome to Champions of Sedge Tavern! Here followers of Sedge and Knights of Ni and anyone else willing to leave their wars and arguments behind are welcome to come and recline at the tables and share a drink and also take turns sharing stories of encounters and tales of mystery. Or just speak of your travels across Middle Earth.
Basically, this is just a place where you can share about your D&D encounters and campaigns. Describe your character (keep things appropriate and any race is permitted, home brewed or not) and come in and spin a tale. This isn’t an actual game of D&D, so no DM.
Also, the barkeeper's name is Malwyn, she is a halfling with dark, curly hair.
Example: The tavern door opens to reveal a tall fit looking Khajiit whose fur is as white as a fresh powder snow on the mountains, he is wearing the attire of a humble traveling merchant. He looks around and asks for some ale with juniper berries in it and sat by the fire which is on the left side of the spacious tavern. The barkeeper said,”On the house, Do’Taba, just spin me a tale.” The Do’Taba replied,”Very well then, come and sit with me and I shall spin you a tale like never before, for I have traveled far and have heard and seen so much.”

Listen carefully and lend me your imagination as I spin you this tale, my friends.
The quiet echoing sound of cackling fire gets slowly louder and louder as the young elf came to. He groaned as a sudden spear of pain pierced his side, and he struggled to stay conscious he heard these words spoken in what he can only think of as an ancient Elvish dialect mostly forgotten to this world,”There he is quick! Get him before he slips away!” A shadowy figure hurries to his still form as he lay among the wastes of a raided village which was set fire to and pillaged by a black dragon just moments ago.
”He’s dying! Quickly, we must get him to Ki’Takera!” one of the figures said urgently. As the two figures lift him off the ground, the young elf fell unconscious for the pain he felt was far to great.
This is an intro to a story that I have for you guys, if you are interested in hearing it further, let me know and I’ll continue this tale.
In his unconscious state, the young elf’s Mind was in a different world. He see the village before the attack, his little sister playing with her dolls in the orchard, and his mother working in their little garden, but he could also see his father on a horse about to set off on a journey,”How can this be?” The young elf said in disbelief.”You died! Father, why wouldn’t you let me go with you? I know how to fight! If I had come, you wouldn’t have died!” With tears of grief and despair in his eyes, he waited for his father to answer, and when no answer came he screamed,”WHY!” Then the image of his father started fading,”No! Father, don’t leave me again!” He started running towards the fading image and tried to grab it but his hands went through and the image disappeared. Then the raid happened. So suddenly came the black dragon and his merciless attacks. Laughing at the anguished screams he heard as he lay waste to the village. The young elf had never felt so helpless as he did when the dragon swung out a talon, no reflexes just sheer...frozen terror. The impact sent him flying even though the dragon had barely missed, only nicking his target. Thinking the young elf was dead or soon to be, the dragon continued to decimate the village. Then, fire...oh so much fire! The heat was almost unbearable, and in his state he barely got out of the way before he blacked out. He kept on hearing the voices in his head going over and over again they said,”It is one thing to heal a body, but it is entirely a different thing if he doesn’t have the will to live anymore, we can only hope he finds something worth living for.” As he heard these in his head, he started to see a hazy fog of death coming his way.

Hello my brother! Welcome!
Hey, Malwyn! (The barkeeper) Grab this man a pint of mead! *then whispers something in her ear when she comes with the pint of mead*
Malwyn: With pleasure! I’ve got some of the finest mead in the province, make it myself. *she then goes upstairs and comes back down with a few crystals and a pipe in hand* I trust you know what to do. But be quiet about it, if people hear that I have some skooma left over they’ll be runnning from half way across the province!

So this, ladies and gentlemen, is how an epic campaign started and quickly ended because someone rolled a nat. 1 on their death saving throw.

A tall human wizard easily strolls into the tavern, sitting heavily by the bar, he is young for a wizard, in his early 20s, but there is no mistaking the power in him, not merely his physique but also in his spells. He is well dressed, even for a wizard, his black robes fringed with gold and flow all the way to the floor.
In a deep voice he addresses the barkeep: "I'll have a beer please, your best stuff," he says as he flips a silver coin onto the counter.

I am Do’Taba, and may I ask what name do you go by?” With that he slowly walks towards the man in the cloak.

I might remember as we play, Indigo. I’m a regular here at the tavern, I supply Malwyn, who is a good friend of mine, with her ingredients and she makes her brews. Huh, knew the little ruffian since she was in her late twenties, I believe she’s about 45. We’ve had this agreement for about a decade now. Would you like to know an easy way to get a free pint from her? Speak and play, who is first?
I will go first do you have an 8, if so you hand it over to me. I was heading through the area but I got caught in the storm so I thought I would drop inside till it blows over. Drinks are always appreciated but I would never take advantage of a lady like Malwyn.

No, no, no not like that! You are a gentleman after my own heart. She is a sucker for stories and she is always happy to give a free drink of your choice in return of hearing one, she even encourages me to tell others about this. You see, she never had the chance to go on adventures of her own, so she instead loves to hear of them.
No, I don’t have an 8. Do you have a 1? ( I roll a d10 for this right?)

I don’t have a 1 go fish (draw). What is a supreme wizard doing around these parts I didn’t know they left their towers.
(You try to match the cards in your hand with the cards in mine, if you guess 5 and I have that then the 5s are removed from the game and you gain a point. If I don’t have the 5 then you would draw. You draw by rolling a D10)
