One of the little ideas that came into my head after a game is that artificers can get a lot of value out of the invisibility spell because they have a lot of other things to do than attack or cast spells. They also have nice little helpers at higher levels (Tiny Servants) which are Tiny so you can hold them and it seems that therefore they benefit from your invisibility - which rather resolves the concentration problem.
The use an item action is neither an attack nor casting a spell, so artificers can use all sorts of things while remaining invisible. This includes a spell storing item so long as you do not attack with it if I understand the wording correctly. A lot of the better magic items/infusions would break the invisibility because they would count as casting a spell but in some cases it is not worded that way and you could therefore use the magic item without technically casting a spell and therefore without becoming visible.
Magical Tinkering seems safe to use while invisible, its perhaps silly but I'm sure you could have fun messing with someone using this.
Has anyone tried this - either as a player character or as a really annoying NPC?

Tiny Servants are creatures. The Invisibility spell only extends invisibility to things the target is carrying, not creatures. Even if the DM allowed this they'd become visible as soon as you let go of them.
The Spell-Storing Item trick most likely isn't intended but it definitely works RAW.

A held flame cannon and invisibility is one of the best artifice combos I've used so far.
