1. RAW, because they do not include the "light" attribute in the description, you would need the "Duel Wielder" feat. Only when you include the secondary "taunt" effect and the precedent for other similar effects being single target only does this makes sense. I, personally, would argue it is fine to use two weapon fighting as long as the "taunt" remains single target.
2. Again, RAW, as long as one hand is holding something other than a weapon, the free hand should benefit from the fighting style.
