So I am planning on creating an armorer in a solo campaign, where I am starting at lv 10. So as I was looking at potential infusions, I noticed enhanced arcane focus requires you to have a rod, wand, or staff. Seeing that I am going to use my armor as my arcane focus, could I use the +2 bonus with my armor as my focus with the said enhancement, or would I just not be able to add the infusion bonus to my armor?
Artificers can use any item they've infused as an Arcane Focus - but the Enhanced Arcane Focus infusion can only be placed on a Wand Rod or Staff - so it can't be placed on your armour.
I have been wondering about the wand or staff thing. What if my arcane focus isn't a wand or staff? Would my pair of gloves be an option for an enhanced focus?

Sorry I didn't make it clear. I was asking about how dungeon masters felt about allowing their artificers to enhance any arcane focus. I wanted the reasoning behind both sides of the discussion.

Hm... given that foci are in separate categories (arcane, druidic, holy symbols, and now tools), I believe most would agree with what was said above...
...Until 2nd level when you can use any item bearing your infusion as a focus with nothing in the infusion to specify any category for spellcasting ability, just "spell attack". You are still limited to the general "arcane" form factors as noted in the infusion description, though.
And as discussed elsewhere, you could use the Replicate Magic Item Infusion: Ruby of the War Mage to work with multiclassing and only needing "one" focus.
