when you hit with a critical and use infectious fury, is the 2 d12 doubled? If you were a dm, would you allow a person who is a shifter taking path of the beast to look like a full ware-creature?
I don't think that many DMs would not allow a character to look a certain way, unless it is rude or offensive. As they require an attack roll, you can get a critical hit. Critical hit means the same thing for everything, whether a weapon or spell: roll the damage dice again. So yes.

when you use this, does the person you as the barbarian hit take the 2d12 pychic damage? or does the target being attacks by the person yuo infected take 2d12 psychis damage?
The target you hit. It's an either/or effect- either the target takes 2d12 psychic damage or they must make an attack against another target of your choice using their reaction.
The issue with a crit is that the effect requires a saving throw, and there are very few times when you have an affect that requires both an attack roll and a saving throw. But crit rules say all damage dice from the attack, so yes, the psychic damage would be rolled twice.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

When it comes to the crit, I do not believe the 2d12 from Infectious Fury is doubled. The simple reason is because that damage isn't part of the actual weapon attack, it's from failing the saving throw for the secondary effect. For example. the intent with a Dagger of Venom is that on a crit you would take extra damage from the attack, but not extra poison damage if you fail the save. But for something like a flametongue sword, you WOULD take extra fire damage, because it's dealt as part of the attack's damage roll.
