I'm in a campaign with content sharing on for most of the sourcebooks (like TCoE, XGtE, SCAG, etc.). I am playing as an Oath of the Ancients Paladin, with optional features on. However, I have experienced some wacky bugs:
It gave me a cantrip that is not from my Divine Warrior fighting style, called "Natural appendage" saying its just a Paladin cantrip....which doesn't make sense. I shall post the information here:
"Your arm turns into a prehensile length of vine and brambles that can stretch up to 30 feet. This arm can push you up to 30 feet away from a solid surface, or cling onto a point up to 20 feet away. You can swing and pull yourself anywhere within 20 feet of that point. You can remain there until your concentration ends, which lasts at most until the end of your next turn. When your concentration ends, your arm reverts to how it was before. If this point is a creature, they must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, dodging out of the way of your vines on a success. The vines can't cling to sheer surfaces, and must be able to find purchase, but requires less purchase than an average hand.
Alternatively, you can attempt to push or pull a creature. That creature must make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be pushed or pulled up to 10 feet in any direction (your choice). "
In addition, it replaced one of my Oath spells, Ensnaring Strike, with this weird cantrip, and I have not been able to find or override it in any way.
I have tried remaking my character from scratch to hopefully fix it and get my spell back, but as I have tried to recreate him within the campaign with content sharing ON, the only variant human feat option it allow me to pick from is Grappler, for some reason. it also does not recognize the Tasha's feats (I previously took Chef) nor does it recognize the optional class features (like the extra fighting style options, expanded spell list, and Harness Divine Power Channel Divinity option).
Does anyone have any idea what any of this is / how to fix it?
The cantrip is probably because somebody is using homebrew in your campaign and set the cantrip to the Oath of the Ancients subclass. Whenever you homebrew up a spell if you set it to a subclass it is automatically added to anyone with that subclass - which includes other characters in a campaign since homebrew it automatically shared in the campaign. You will need to recreate the character with Homebrew turned off or make them outside the campaign. I would also recommend contacting the maker of the homebrew cantrip.
For feats: if nobody else has purchased the feats they won't be shared. Have you bought the feats? There are 3 free feats: 1 requires playtest and Critical Role turned on and is for guns, one is a racial feat for a gnome and one, Grappler, is available for anyone. The other feats must be purchased by somebody. If people have bought the feats and are in the campaign try having content sharing turned off then on again. If you are not the one with the Master sub, it is possible that person's sub ran out causing the sharing to stop - which may explain why things have suddenly stopped appearing.
