So I created a couple magic items that pair with a race that I created, however, it says I can't publish the magic items since it contains non-English words. This doesn't make sense since I literally don't have more than 5 words for the item as it accompanies the race and is largely detailed in that race. I tried changing the wording for the title and description, but no matter what I do it always says it has non-English words. I'd love to publish the race I created, but these magic items are important to the race functioning and as such I can't until this gets fixed.
The error is misleading. It's the very fact that you only have 5 words which is the reason it's giving the error. You can't publish homebrew if its description is too short.
You really shouldn't be even trying to publish homebrew until it's complete anyway (because you can't edit or remove it once it's published). And if you only need it for your campaign or personal use - you don't need to publish it at all.
Oh okay, that makes sense. So my homebrew is complete, the description is just short because it accompanies my homebrew race so its full description lies in the race. I guess I'll just place the description in the magic item as well so it lets me publish it.
