So I've been wondering: when I got myself the dnd essentials pack a while ago, there was a DnDB code for the content included. Is this true for every physical copy (as in when I buy or Volos as print will I also have access to the digital copy and compendium content) or do I have to buy it on DnDB to get access to that content and the essentials are just an exception. I personally prefer having a physical copy of a book rather than a digital one for various reasons, one of them being that I've seen too many websites go offline eventually and therefore any content there would be lost, however the option to have the compendium content and share it with my friends with the sub is pretty appealing, not to the point where I'm willing to pay double for content that (in an honesty) is while worth it pretty expensive in it's own though, so that's kinda a double edged sword there. I'd be very grateful for an answer about that as it'd make the decision way easier if it was containing the digital content and I can't find any reasonably recent answers to that question.
The short answer is no; with the exception of the Essentials Kit, no physical book will not enable you to get the digital book here for free/for a discount.

No problem! Whilst the cost of purchasing again is a pain, I find the convenience of having the resources in digital format is worth the price of not having to homebrew everything yourself.
As an alternative to buying everything yourself - If you have a friend that is a Master Subscriber on here that can share purchased items across a campaign with everyone, one player could buy the Monster Manual (for example) and another buys the Player's Handbook, this means that one person isn't fronting all the cost and everyone benefits from the shared generosity. This would only apply for the Campaign you were all in though.
For example; Craig is the Master Subscriber and runs a campaign you and you're friends are all in called The Rising of the Demons. With 'Content Sharing' enabled by the DM, everyone in that campaign can share everything that the players have bought. Did Kenji buy the Player's Handbook? You can now play as a War Cleric without having bought the Player's Handbook yourself.
If however you attempted to create a War Cleric character in a different campaign run by Sarah where no one is a Master Subscriber, or has purchased the Player's Handbook, you are locked into the only free Cleric Domain on D&D Beyond which is the Life Cleric.
Hope that all makes sense!

That summs it up yeah, one thing that strikes me interesting there though: Does the DM being a master sub mean that all content everyone in the campaign has is unlocked for the whole group? (In my case I am the DM and actually have most the content but that would make stuff easier)
Yep - as long as one person is a Master Subscriber and has activated content sharing, everything that is bought by any player in that campaign can be used by everyone. So if one player had the Monster Manual, you as the DM could have access to any monster from that book.
