I'm looking for magical items for my Divine Sole Aasimar (who has no armor proficiency), specifically to boost his AC without having to use a spell slot as often for defensive spells (Mage Armor, Shield, Mirror Image, Blur, and so forth).
I saw a few items like Robe of the Archmagi, Cloak of Protection, Ring of Protection and I'm sure there are many more. I noticed they all have in common the expression 'Armor Class' in the 'Notes' column, Problem is I can't find a way to filter the search by this column or expression.
I see now that in order to form the list I have to switch between 'Effect Types': 'Bonus', 'Protection' and 'Set'; and also by 'Effect Subtypes': 'Armor Class' and 'Unarmored Armor Class'.
That's a bit of a drag...
If any of the developers are reading this, it would be nice to have a keyword field to search by.
At the end of the day, there is no single search criteria I can use to answer the question: "What can I wear to boost my AC if I can't wear any armor?"
Bumping this because there is also no way to search for specific classes that would be listed in the notes. It would be nice to be able to limit searches to "Warlock" items if I'm looking for something unique for a warlock.

Any word on this? I am running a one shot with higher level characters made specifically for it and told the players to pick out a class specific rare, but low and behold, there is no way to filter by the notes, so no way to search for warlock specific magic items.

D&D Beyond FoundersYou can use the advanced filters to be even more specific than that!
This searches for non-armor items that grant a bonus to armor class:

Robes of the Archmagi is the only non-armor item that grants an armor calculation.
You could also use the filters to search for the tag "warding"

D&D Beyond FoundersBracers of defense function differently - they grant a bonus to unarmored armor class, so you'd need to search on that instead.
I agree that is somewhat unintuitive.
