I'm not sure where the perfect place to put this is, but here goes. I've made a homebrew spell that does 3d6 damage on hit with a wisdom save to hit. For some reason on my character sheet it lists the "hit/dc" as "+6" and will roll an attack with +6 to hit when interacted with when it should just display the static 14 wisdom save as it does for another one of my (non-homebrew) spells. Some of my abilities have a +6 modifer (college of lore bard with high stats) so my guess is that it's pulling from there, but the spell doesn't call for any modifiers or anything. Would anyone know how to configure a homebrew spell to display saving throw DC's under the hit/DC section of a character sheet?
Make sure that, under the "Additional Information" section, the field named "Attack Type" is empty.
If that field is filled in (e.g. with "ranged") you're informing the system that the spell requires an attack roll.
Also make sure that the "Save Type" field is filled in with the ability score that the target of the spell must use to make their saving throw. In your case, this would be WIS.
It may be worth taking a look at how we built "Toll the Dead" - you can do this by starting to build a homebrew spell, and choosing Toll the Dead as the template.
Thank you so much!! I don't have access to toll of the dead, but I checked out how Hellish Rebuke was configured and worked from there. I did mistakenly have it as a ranged attack, I also fixed up the modifier since I had it as a fixed value of 1 instead of a level of 1, and hadn't even included the modifier lmao. Have a wonderful day :D!
