I brought the book with the fishfolk and the grung books to make some characters with however they are not showing in my character creation on the app l. Please help?
In your HOME | Preferences, under Sources, toggle on Noncore D&D Content so that it's to the right & not gray.

There is no character creation in the app, that option simply forwards you to the website within a browser on the app.
The toggle is on the second screen, under sources
