When implementing it mechanically, I looked up how the Tiefling's Hellish rebuke is set up in dndbeyond and copied that to a T, tho with charm person of Course. tried changing the race and then changing back and nothing. No matter what I do, dndbeyond gives this character 6 charges of the ability. they don't even have it as a known spell other than innate racial Spellcasting. Help?
Additional info, this isn't a character I own, this is a character a player in a campaign I DM for made, they get the race through shared content.
Seems pretty likely you accidentally selected a stat to grant additional uses, rather than a stat to determine DC. It might be adding 1 + (the stat). Try changing your stats and see if the amount of uses changes. Then go into the spell again and triple-check to make sure each box (especially the ones where you choose a stat!) are correct.
