I made a Homebrew monster. Well, not technically "I". I copied stats from an AL module adventure so I can see them and manage them comfortably here. I can't publish them because they are copyrighted material. But I have friends, also GMs in the league with access to the module, that could use those stats. Is there a way for me to share it with them privately, just to save them the work?
If you and they are in a joint campaign, then yes - private homebrew can be shared within a campaign.
Otherwise, no - the only method to share with other users, so that they have their own copy, is via publishing, which is moderated and disallows the publication of copyrighted work, as you noted.
