I'm trying to use the {{fixedvalue}} code in the snippet of an action for a feature in my homebrew subclass, but no matter what I do it just says "Fixedvalue - fixed value is missing" in the actions tab of my character sheet. I've seen several different threads on this but none of them had any actual resolution. Some of them just said to make sure you're using {{fixedvalue}} in the action and not in the description of the feature itself, and I've already made sure of that. I'm trying to make the value scale with a level override, so it would be 5 starting at level 1 and at level 14 it would go up to 10. I've entered 5 into the fixed value field of the action itself and 10 into the fixed value field of the action's level override, but it still says that the fixed value is missing. I've tried {{scalevalue}} as well based off of some other threads and got the same result ("Scalevalue - scale value is missing"), but from what I understand {{scalevalue}} isn't meant to be used in an action anyways. Any help?
Ah, I had checked out that thread but it still just says to use {{fixedvalue}} and doesn't give any alternatives. Is there really no way to get a value to show in a snippet on a homebrew subclass's action page?
It depends on where your value is coming from. If it's a Limited Use added by an action, you'd use {{limiteduse}} while if it's a feature's Level Scaling, you use {{scalevalue}} no matter whether it's a die type or a fixed-value type (or both.)
But if you're trying to use the snippet in an action, then according to this post, scalevalue can only be used in the feature's snippet, not the snippets of actions under it. It's been a while since I tested...

{{fixedvalue}} doesn't work the way it is described. It essentially has no use.
Refer to this thread for help with snippets, as it's where most of the knowledge is.

Right... they haven't updated the first post.
