Monster statblocks in 5e have a type (i.e. humanoid) and sometimes a subtype (i.e. goblinoid). These subtypes are missing from the head of the monster statblocks (for example, Hobgoblins should be listed as "Medium humanoid (goblinoid), lawful evil".

D&D Beyond FoundersHmmm, interesting.
The full description, including the subtype of "goblinoid" is showing in the stat block in the Monster Manual.
When I take a look at the database entry for Hobgoblin that subtype is missing though.
I've flagged this as a bug and will discuss with the team.
