Dice roller not working while using the web based version in Chrome 98. You click on the dice roller icon, and it pops up for a half second, then goes back to being just the icon. Then, if you open Edge Chromium and load it, and roll the dice once using the dice roller, then go back to Chrome, it works. It's like there is some kind of communication that has to happen on the backend of the service that then does something to all the other open sessions and it works after that.
Have you checked that hardware acceleration is enabled in your chrome setting? That's the most common resolution for dice issues. I've been able to use the digital dice on all my devices running chrome, so it doesn't seem to be a site side issue from what I can tell.
It seems to be some sort of issue with Hardware acceleration. I turned it off and turned it back on again, and it fixed the issue, but as of Sunday, everyone in my game was having the problem with Chrome. Was there some sort of update to the dice roller recently?
As others have pointed out, it is an issue with hardware acceleration in the Chrome browser. Unfortunately, hardware acceleration in Chrome doesn't play nice with Windows 11. I've had to disable hardware acceleration within Chrome on Windows 11 or i get graphics issues eventually leading to a black screen. So unfortunatley, I can't use the dice rolling feature on my laptop (the one I use to run my tabletop games and use to keep track of character sheets while running my remote games - need the PC and both its monitors to run everything else). Would be nice to use the laptop to roll dice, but that's not to be.
Related to dice rolling, we've noticed a flaw with the mobile DnD app. The [Clear] button for the dice rolls can end up below your mobile device's screen, which makes it impossible to select. If you can't select it, we've noticed that the dice roller just keeps repeating the same # rolled over and over. Ever see someone roll "4" on twelve consecutive d20 rolls, followed by rolling a "4" on every other die selected to be rolled? We have.
I now advise all my players to avoid using the mobile app.

Has there been any progress on a fix for this?

No update to the dice as far as I'm aware, but Google did just roll out an update to chrome. Could be that

Could be. I adviced my group of the fix, so thanks for the help :)

Playing D&D since 1982
Have played every version of the game since Basic (Red Box Set), except that abomination sometimes called 4e.
