I was wondering if it's possible to add Gith (Githyanki / Githzerai) as a favored enemy as a ranger. It's possible to choose the Gith language during the favored enemy selection, but not the race(s). Is this a bug?
I’ve been reporting some of the replies here just to see if they’d get more attention… they haven’t. Really fed up. I can’t even imagine it would be that difficult a fix. All I can think is that no one really cares.
Spamming the "report" feature in the forum editor to draw attention to this thread is abusing the intent of the moderation system.
That said, it does look like DDB sells players short in the range of humanoids it makes available as Rangers Favored Enemy. It's come up a few times on the forums since this thread was made. Oddly, I don't see any response from DDB staff or moderators noting they're aware of this. That doesn't mean there hasn't been, but on a quick search of "Favored Enemy" I've found a number of threads where the lack or gaps in humanoids are addressed including Gith and I don't see any staff or mod noting of the issue.
Of course, these choices are things easily incorporated. into notes for the character. On the mechanical support the character sheet provides, when you roll Survival on INT checks, there's no prompt asking you to do so at advantage. So I"m presuming this is on a longer list of content that's behind other things being integrated into more functional aspect of the Tools. The sheet won't tell you to tell the DM you're rolling at advantage so it's just a matter of getting that note down somewhere on your sheet. Should Gith and others be selectable from the drop down? Sure, but for time being this is an easy workaround and doesn't affect any of the calculations the sheet usually performs.
Re: Tieflings I'd say "no" since Tieflings by their nature of human or otherwise humanoid born and either raised in that parents community or made pariah. cast out, Teiflings don't have. a. culture or "ways" akin to what a Rangers knowledge would draw on when contemplating a favored enemy.
(Of course I encourage players to pick Favored Foe instead, and sort of assign "favored enemy" sort of knowledge to characters who wind up with substantial experience among a type of enemy. For example, if you play through Descent into Avernus you probably walk out of Hell. with the equivalent of "favored enemy: fiends" regardless of your character class. But I know a lot of folks really like. Favored Enemy from the getgo, my way just works better in my game).

Your word wall, while highly informative, is essentially useless considering this is a feature request thread.
I understand that you believe the use of the report feature in this way is an abuse of it’s intent, but to see a request thread go for 3 years with no response and no resolution requires alternative means. If they saw it, they would say something.
Also, I never said anything about spamming. There’s an option under report to report the comment as “other.” The other in this case being that these comments are being reported as unread or unresolved. Kindly curb your enthusiasm while we wait for a Mod or Dev of the site.
Like I said, this could be known and addressed elsewhere, I really don't think this is crippling to character sheet function. But you're clearly locked in on your way of getting things done, including making up your own rationale for the reporting system. So, in all kindness, enjoy your stay ;)

This and Tiefling is also missing.
Yep, running into the problem with this myself for both races, is there a homebrew workaround for the time being?
Yo, is anybody seeing this? Like can we get an update on whether or not this is being fixed?
A fix for this would be nice!
ditto, but seeing as this problem is almost 3 years old, and the fact that no one like playing rangers, (save for us!) I wouldn't hold my breath.

Not likely to see a mod reply on the weekend.

Pretty shoddy Support when users are taking jabs at each other while Support doesn't address or even respond to the request.
