I saw a little bit ago that Playstation was getting rid of games on its server. Not exactly sure how all that works. It got me thinking about dnd beyond. Those people on playstation arent going to be able to access games that they paid for anymore. Is that something that would or could happen on dnd beyond? Ive spent a little bit of money on there so far and wouldnt kill me if i lost what ive got. But im looking to tie dnd beyond into my gaming experience and would rather have the digital stuff and access to the calsses and what not in dnd beyond rather than trying to sit there and thumb through the books https://omegle****/https://xender.vip/.Its just been so much easier working with beyiond in creating characters and npc even if i just got the basic free stuff right now. Just super nervous that ill eventually spend a bunch of money on books and then lose them to something similar like what happened at playstation. Am i just over reacting?
It could happen -- it's the deepest flaw in the shift to digital goods, but WotC bought them and are clearly making them a part of their long-term plans, so it's a lot less likely than it used to be.
Simply put zoah666, it absolutely will happen one day. The money we spend is for the license to use, not own. One day, WotC will mothball DDB when it no longer serves its purpose well. When that happens, every purchase made here will disappear into the ether. This is a guarantee. The question is whether it will be 10 years from now or 20. No one thought the Kindle would last when it first came out. Heck, people still think the Nook is worth their money. I doubt DDB is going anywhere soon. Might even outlive you.
