I'm trying to build a certain special gunslinger class in the builder for personal use, but I've run into a few issues.
Adding a modifier to a class feature that gives proficiency in initiative does nothing; It does not add proficiency bonus to your initiative modifier.
Expendable charges or something have to be set as a fixed number as far as I can tell; I cannot set the number of grit points equal to the wisdom modifier, I simply have to set a static number. I could see being a problem for a lot of homebrew classes that have their resources scale.
Also there's a typo and a few missing words on the page for adding options to a class feature. It currently says:
Add options to your class feature that a character can choose from. For eaxmple, Maneuvers the Battle Master subclass for Fighter.

The feature is there but not available to the public yet.
"Adding a modifier to a class feature that gives proficiency in initiative does nothing; It does not add proficiency bonus to your initiative modifier." At the moment the best way to do this is do Bonus - Initiative - Fixed value 3 for level 7, and then create a feature for 9th, 13th, and17th level for the changes in your proficiency.

When I created my homebrew Gunslinger, I changed the Grit to proficiency bonus, at least until they update that. However, I had to do it in the way that Tophloph explained about initiative. Fix the bonus value to level.
