I notice that my spell slots reflect as if I had taken the full 8 levels in Druid (I have 2 4th level spell slots when a 6th level druid wouldn't have that). Maybe I don't understand the rules correctly, but it sounds like this is not what's supposed to happen.
This is a bug-report but also seeing if anyone else has a similar experience.
I started my character as a Druid, got to level 6, then started with 2 levels of Bard. (https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/18600291)

There's no bug there - it's correct.
