the character you are looking at, is it level 3 or higher in a class?
In D&D 5th edition, characters don't gain subclasses until they reach 3rd level in a class - you'll then see an option in the builder to select the subclass for them.
Hi amwood26, are you sure you have a wizard of 2nd level (little drop down just to the right of the class name)? that's when a wizard can choose to focus on War Magic (it should be the last option in the drop down). Since you say you have purchased Xanathar's it should be gold, Did you also purchase the PHB? just curious if it might be some kind of bug.
To receive the benefit of shared materials, your character has to be in the campaign where content sharing is turned on. Be sure that you've used the join link and created the character within the campaign.
hi all new player here I can’t seem to access subclasses in character builder any help?
You need a purchase from the Marketplace to access non-free content, or homebrew those you want to use privately.
I’ve got the xanithars guide but can’t access the subclasses from it
I might be a cache issue, so try to clear that on your browser.
If that does not work, send a ticket to support.
