Is there a general issue about the Character Builder only supporting whole numbers for weights, and the team making item-by-item calls on what should be rounded up or down?
I take this is a bug of the current character sheet, since those weights you listed are properly set in the single items.
It is almost the time of the overhaul, let me know if in the new character sheet you find the same issues.
Hmm... when you say 'individual items', do you mean when you look at them in your database, or in another part of the interface? Because, looking at the 'Clothes of Mending' now, they're listed as '--' weight in every part of the Character Builder. I see it while editing, in 5.EQUIPMENT, Manage tab; in Active / Inventory / Add Items. I also see it in the 'View' mode, everywhere there too.
Anyway, yeah, you have bigger fish to fry right now. Best of luck on the launch, and thanks for the quick reply.
Oh, I was playing around, and FINALLY figured it out. The interface rounds each group of like items up to the nearest pound.
So, Healing Potions: if you have 1 Healing Potion, the sheet shows 1lb (rounding up). If you have 2, it shows 1lb (correct). Add a 3rd, it goes to 2lbs (rounding up). So, each individual item appears to be +.5lb at the most.
This seems to get quite 'off' if you have a bunch of .5lb items like I had: 1 mirror, 3 healing potions, 1 sack, 6 pitons. (Yes, I had those, not kidding!) In that case, I was looking at each one and it appeared to be 6 pounds, but the real weight was 4lbs.
When it calculates overall weight of everything for encumbrance, though, it throws them all together, and then rounds up to the nearest pound.
So, all in all...looks like an intentional design choice that 99.9% of people won't care about. I am TOTALLY being an obsessive edge case here. 'ISSUE CLOSED: AS DESIGNED'.
...thanks for fixing Clothes of Mending, thought. :-)

Anyone who uses Variant Encumbrance cares. I use Variant Encumbrance.

This is pretty self-explanatory.

For a Potion of Healing (of all kinds):
For a Steel Mirror:

I didn't see anything about this before. HTH.

Also, Clothes of Mending are listed as 'This elegant outfit of traveler’s clothes'.
Shouldn't they weight something?

Yes, I meant in the database.
I fixed Clothes of Mending, though.
