In the spells section of the character sheet (I see that this has been updated recently?), the Prepared Spells section doesn't always show all of the character's prepared spells. The header will show a certain total of spells as a number, but when you open the dropdown to see all the spells, not all of them appear (they don't add up to that header number).
I've noticed something similar, but when I opened my characters screen in a new tab and tried viewing that character again, the prepared spells displayed properly. This is definitely still a bug, but I'd try refreshing or opening in a new tab and seeing if it works in the meantime as a workaround.
There was a bug with always prepared spells. We just pushed out an update that should fix this. If your character is still having issues after refreshing, please give me a link to the character and I'll take a look.
On a similar note, I am trying to "Add Spells" to my "Spellbook".
Under "Spellbook" it shows: You currently have no known spells. Learn spells from your list of available spells below.
Under "Add Spells" it shows: Cantrips 0/5, Prepared Spells 0/25 (both are correct).
However when I try to add spells to what I think is my spellbook, it stops me at 5 cantrips. I did select "Homebrew" during character creation, and have purchased several cantrips to add to my books. How do I exceed the limit of 5 cantrips in my book?
Also, every time I add a spell, it also adds it to my "Spells Prepared" section, which is not what I want to happen.
It would seem that adding spells to a book would be a separate function from preparing spells. Am I doing something wrong?
On a side note, why is "Sailor" not a background option?
thank you
Sailor is not available in the basic rules or srd. It will be available for purchase on release day.
How do I exceed the limit of 5 cantrips in my book?
Although they might add the ability to do it as a custom rule, the core rule is that you can't exceed your known cantrip amount, whether you're a prepared or known caster.

I hope they add the ability to do things like that as custom rules.

I've been having issues with this recently and I've tried the methods listed above and it seems to only show racial spells and ritual spells and not cought ritual spells to the total number of spells known.
Edit: I figured out my issues. I had the spells known but not prepared.

Thanks, for the report!
Still happening about 1/8 of the time with various characters.

I recently added several homebrew spells to my cleric and each of them comes up as always prepared on the character sheet how do I turn this off?
