So I am working on a subclass for the Sorcerer class that is based around the features and not using any spells being added to the list or granted. I have worked on it based on the Aberrant Mind template to make sure I follow most of the requirements. I did the following:
I stripped the class of the features but kept the leveling format as:
2 1st level features
1 6th level feature
1 14th level feature
1 18th level feature
I removed any wording that it had from the template based on the Aberrant Mind subclass and filled it in with all my own descriptions.
I also tabbed on the 'Can cast spells' to 'Yes'
But it still saying unable to publish due to similarities with the Aberrant Mind subclass, but nothing of it is similar.
Click the orange Save Changes button on the homebrew's main page. It refreshes the checks.

Ironically, just a few minutes after making this post I think I found a bug in the system that causes this issue:
Ticking the 'Can cast spells' to 'Yes' somehow causes it to think it is using the same features as the other subclasses even though it is a class that comes with spells like the other subclasses
I removed that and it worked and allows me to publish the homebrew subclass without issues now
I don't know if that has been reported by anyone or tested out.

Since I have made many Sorcerer subclasses and always have "can cast spells" to yes and have not once ever encountered a problem: I don't think that was the cause of your issue. It was the fact you saved it after making the change (which the system ignores for full casters) causing it to redo the validation checks, thus allowing you to post it.
